This policy covers every step of signing up through vpnlw.com, buying a subscription and connecting with a client, including the website, the user panel and the apps for each platform. It sits alongside our Terms of Use, and together the two form the service agreement.
What data we collect and why
Signing up needs only a username and password, with no email address, so VPNLW holds no email identifier that could be used to link activity across sites. The records actually stored fall into three groups:
- Account records: username, a one-way hash of the password, sign-up date, subscription status and expiry date. Used for login verification, activating subscriptions and expiry reminders.
- Order records: plan name, amount, payment method, order number and the transaction status returned by the payment provider. Used for activation, renewals, reconciliation and refunds.
- Analytics: aggregate metrics such as page views, referral source, device type and browser version. Used to check whether pages work and whether content needs adjusting.
All of these records map to a specific account or order and contain no record of the websites visited, search terms or communication content.
No-logs stance
VPNLW does not record which websites a user visits, keeps no connection logs and performs no deep packet inspection on connection content. Data travelling between the client and the servers is never written to disk on the server side.
At the operations level, only the connection counts needed for capacity scheduling are kept, such as the number of active sessions on a given route. These counts contain no destination addresses or domain names and expire when the session ends.
No network service operates outside its physical and legal environment. When a legally binding request is received, VPNLW can only provide the account and order records listed above; browsing records that do not exist cannot be provided, and no extra data is collected for that purpose.
Cookies and local storage
This site uses two kinds of local storage, neither of them for advertising:
- Essential: login credentials, language preference and interface state (for example, the plan term selected last time). The data lives in the browser and disappears when browser data is cleared; the account and subscription themselves are unaffected.
- Analytics: used to distinguish unique visitors and count page views. It records aggregate numbers and is not shared with third-party ad networks.
Cookies can be deleted or blocked at any time in your browser settings. Once they are blocked, login state and language preference cannot be kept, but pages remain fully browsable.
Payments and third-party processing
Payments are completed through Alipay, WeChat and USDT. With the first two, the page redirects to that provider's checkout, and account details and identity verification are handled directly by the payment provider, which means VPNLW neither sees nor stores them. VPNLW only receives the returned order number, amount and payment result, which are used to activate the subscription. With USDT, the on-chain transfer is carried out by the wallet and the public blockchain, and VPNLW records the transaction hash and the confirmation result.
Apart from payment providers and the cloud infrastructure providers it necessarily relies on, VPNLW does not sell, rent or trade account and order data with third parties.
Data retention and deletion
Account and order records are kept for as long as the account exists. After an account is closed, only the order details directly needed for refunds and reconciliation are retained; the rest is deleted along with the account. Aggregate analytics contain no identifier that can be traced back to a person and are simply overwritten each reporting period.
You can request deletion of your account and related data by opening a ticket in the user panel. Once it has been processed, the account can no longer be used to log in and the subscription ends with it. If an order is still within the 7-day no-questions-asked refund window, it is best to request the refund first and then close the account, so the same order is not handled twice.
Policy updates and contact
This policy is updated as the service changes. New versions are published on this page, with the month shown at the top. Substantive changes to what data is collected or why are announced in the user panel; continuing to use the service means you accept the updated version.
If you have questions about this policy, you can open a ticket in the user panel. Ticket content is handled together with account information, and replies are visible only inside the panel as well.
